Access control gates: multitechnology contactless solutions for integrated fare systems
Thales gates offer a flexible and modular design with the security, reliability and high performance throughput required in mass transit application today.

The Thales on board validator is designed to quickly process contactless fare media.

  • Small form factor in order to fi t into any environment without any
    problem regarding passenger fl ow
  • High quality and up to date design
  • User friendly visual interface with a 13cm (5'') colour display
a monochrome 2 line x 16 characters display may be fi tted as an
    option.

The unit is built to withstand a harsh environment: Water proof, dust proof, and shock resistant. It can operate as a full autonomous device on board a vehicle.

The Modular Board Computer (MBC) is a versatile computer. Its powerful yet modular architecture allows running multiple applications at the same time. Fleet management software can run concurrently with Ticketing application.
The MBC relies on a distributed architecture consisting of a central unit and a color touch screen. The central unit is stowed away in the Bus technical compartment while the display is mounted on the vehicle's dashboard. This architecture allows for an optimized installation in buses.

The Point of Sales Terminal (POST) facilitates the semi-automatic sales of fare media. It operates by sales persons in booking offices and customer service offices. It offers possibility to personalize customer card with picture. Only authorised employees intend the POST functions depending of responsibility level.

The Light Point of Sale Terminal enables shops and kiosks to sell and reload contactless fare media. It facilitates the semi-automatic sales, where available space is limited.

The Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) allows a customer to purchase, renew and consult tickets on an automatic machine without the presence of the transport company agent. It is installed in closed or open stations, in or out doors, at strategic point of passage.
Connected to a central station, its operating information is updated in real time.

The Small Ticket Vending Machine (Small TVM) allows a customer to purchase, renew and consult tickets on an automatic machine without the presence of the transport company agent.
It is installed in closed or open stations, in or out doors, at strategic point of passage.
The advanced design of the Small TVM allows an easy integration of this machine in the operator's environment by offering different possibilities of installation (on a pole, on wall, back-to-back, side-by-side)
Connected to a central station, its operating information is updated in real time.
