The TH 2157 A is an RF source specially designed by Thales for industrial accelerators. It integrates latest-generation technologies for smaller size and better performance. Extremely compact and weighing only 35 kg, it is easy to handle and offers an enhanced uptime-to-downtime ratio.
This klystron is particularly suitable for industrial accelerators dedicated to the on-line procession like container and cargo inspection. The reduced size of the tube and focusing magnet mean that the klystron can be placed close to the accelerating section, reducing RF transmission losses and improving the ergonomy of the equipment. This five-integrated-cavity klystron operates in vertical position. Collector and body are water-cooled.
