Transport authorities and operators are meeting today's challenges with Thales’ intelligent, high-value solutions. Smart, information-driven rail signalling technology significantly increases capacity, safety and security. Increasingly interactive solutions build greater return on investment from start to finish benefiting operators, passengers and freight delivery.
With one in two of the world’s population living in cities, the need for non-stop urban and inter-city transport has never been greater. Thales' smart solutions keep the world's biggest and fastest growing cities moving while minimising environmental impact.
By removing the need to stop and pay and for roll-through tollbooths to collect cash, electronic ticketing and contactless technology beats the bottlenecks on highways, tunnels and bridges. With interoperable systems, Thales also enables closer co-operation between rail, tram, bus, parking and other service operators for multi-mode transport.
The company is also providing automated signalling systems for the monorail, part of a new urban transport system for the capital of the Brazilian State of Amazonas.
